If you follow a vegan diet or you are cutting down on how many animal products you consume, you will surely already know about vegetable drinks. They are a good option for getting hydrated and they can replace cow’s milk in some recipes. For example, at breakfast or when preparing delicious smoothies.
There is a lot of variety when it comes to what we commonly know as “vegetable milk”. Its correct name is actually a vegetable drink. It comes in soy, almond, oat, rice.. and of course quinoa! Depending on the grain or nut used, its taste and nutritional value differs. So at the moment there are lots of options to try and switch between. Do you already know about our quinoa and rice drink? You can’t miss out!
We’ve already told you that quinoa is a pseudocereal which is very interesting due to its content in plant-based proteins, as well as being gluten-free. At Quinua Real, because we are specialists in sustainably-harvested quinoa-based bio products, we clearly had to come up with a vegetable drink for all the lovers of this age-old grain.
The quinoa and rice drink mainly provides hydration and energy in the form of carbohydrates. Also, if you look at its list of ingredients, you will see that it doesn’t contain any added sugars since it only contains those provided naturally by the rice and the quinoa. We add a dash of cold-pressed sunflower oil and a pinch of sea salt to balance and highlight its flavour and texture. And of course, its ingredients are harvested on ecological farms, are gluten-free, and this way we are able to obtain a 100% vegetable drink, suitable for vegans and celiacs.
You can have this vegetable drink at any time of the day, on its own or with something else. It could even be used as a liquid ingredient for a range of dessert recipes. In this article we will give you some ideas about how to enjoy it for breakfast.

For example, foods with omega-3 such as ground flax seeds, walnuts or virgin olive oil.
What is important, of course, is that you eat well during the day, adapting your food to your schedule and lifestyle. What do you think about these breakfast ideas?
